Certified Scrum Master Training

This training session will run by two expert Agile trainers and coaches – Michael Sahota (CSM, CSP) and Michel Goldenberg (CSM, CST). It is located in downtown Toronto, ON, Canada at the Residence Inn Mariott at 255 Wellington St West.

Theory of Scrum
Scrum, is based on the theory of empirical process control, uses an iterative and incremental approach to maximize the predictability and to control risk.
The 3 pillars that support empirical process control are:
- Transparency
- Inspection
- Adaptation
The content of Scrum
The Scrum framework consists of Scrum teams and roles associated through, periods of time (time-boxes), artefacts and rules.
The Scrum team is composed of 3 parts:
- The Scrum Master
- The Product Owner
- The Team (developers, QA, BA)
Scrum meetings and activities are:
- The Release planning meeting
- The Sprint planning meeting
- Sprint, which varies from 2 to 4 weeks
- The Daily Scrum Meeting
- Sprint Review
- Sprint Retrospective
Scrum uses the following artifacts:
- Product Backlog
- Release Burndown
- Sprint Backlog
- Release Burndown
This course will show you all the rules applied in the Scrum Framework to consolidate the roles, time periods and artifacts
Participants
8 – 20. We are keeping the class small so you get to directly interact and learn. In the session, be prepared for active learning since we use hands-on exercises as well as cover the content.
Participants will receive Certified ScrumMaster designation from the Scrum Alliance upon completion of an on-line exam.
